I want to tell you what my days actually look like right now.

They’re boring. They’re just about work. And I think that’s the point.

I start whenever I wake up. First thing, I make my bed.

Then I stacked a few more habits on top of that one.

I go up to the gym and do a 30-minute incline walk. And like the bed, I gave myself a tiny version of it. The tiny version is just putting on my walking shoes and stepping outside the door. That’s it. I can walk out, turn around, come straight back, and still check it off as my morning walk.

Most days I do the full thing. But the tiny version is the reason I never skip it.

Then I go home, shower, grab my laptop, and go to a coffee shop. That’s my working day. That’s the whole shape of it.

I’m still completely focused on Becoming.

Two weeks ago I finished version one. I showed it to a few friends and got really good feedback. I’ve been using it myself every day since.

And here’s the honest part. It works okay. But it doesn’t feel like something anyone would pay for. It looks like an essay. Not an app with any life in it.

My friends said the same thing, each in their own words. One said it needs a game to it. Another said the bonsai tree in the app doesn’t feel alive, that it needs to move, to breathe.

Every one of them, in some way, told me the app is missing life.

And that stung a little, because that’s the one thing I’m not good at. I’m an engineer. I can build the logic all day. But making an app feel alive, the design, the movement, the small things that give it a heartbeat, that’s my weak spot.

So that’s what version two is. Me, working on the thing I’m worst at.

There’s no deadline. No launch date. No revenue coming. No guarantee any of this works.

My plan is just to work on it every day. I don’t even know if that’s a good plan. There’s nothing pulling me forward, nothing to aim at. But it’s what I’m doing for now, and I’m okay with it. I’ll change how I work when I feel like I need to.

Some days I feel like I made a little progress. Some days I feel like I did nothing at all. And even on the good days, I’m not happy with how slow it’s going.

I’m a perfectionist, and that costs me time. I’ve also never shipped a product in my life. Zero experience. I’m making this up as I go.

If I’m honest, part of why I’m going this slow, the slowest I’ve ever done anything, is fear. Some quiet part of me knows that the slower I go, the less it’ll hurt when I finally show it and people don’t like it.

These are hard days. The doubt is heavy. Some days I genuinely think maybe this won’t work.

But I show up anyway.

And underneath all of it, there’s a feeling I can’t shake. I think this is going to work.

When my friends tried version one, not one of them questioned what the app does or why it exists. They only talked about how it looks and feels. For me, that’s the best sign I could have asked for.

So I’m going to keep going. Finish version two. Show it to more people than last time.

That’s the update. That’s where I am.

I don’t have proof yet. I just have the coffee shop, the same walk, the made bed, and a thing I can’t stop building.
